Description
One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite and green chrysoberyl ring with a bright polish finish. The featured tanzanite is supported by green chrysoberyl set shoulders, completed by a three millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "14K". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 7.75 x 5.90 x 3.25mm, 6% bulge factor, approximate weight of 1.08ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, dark, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 7/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Two prong set oval mixed cut natural green chrysoberyls, measuring 5.50 x 4.00 x 2.60mm, approximate total weight of 0.89ct., clarity is slightly included, medium dark, very slightly grayish, very slightly bluish green color, (GIA vslbG 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with a minimum of distortion, transparent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. No indications of color change. Measurements & the color grade are an average for the pair. Graded in the setting. Transmitting light with a minimum of distortion, transparent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. No indications of color change.
