Rare Collection of 19 volumes on the subject of modern architecture

This remarkably comprehensive and rare ensemble comprises19 of a total of 20 volumes from the Czech journal ‘Architektura (CSR)’, published by the Czech Society of Architects in Prague, with years of publication dating from 1939 to 1961. Volume 18 in not included. The latter volumes include contributions by Max Urban, Adolf Bens, Jaroslav Fragner and Bohuslav Fuchs among others and are profusely illustrated with plans, diagrams and photographs. The articles are written in Czech language while the illustrations are also inscribed in English, French and German. There are further summaries in Russian, English and French.

The books are in good, used condition with age-related discoloration and few stains. The binding is slightly bumped and damages at some parts. Some leaves are loose. The dimensions of the individual volumes are roughly 40 x 23 cm for each.
