Description

Unusual Gilt Bronze Mounted Onyx Hall Tree, 20th c., the top with gilt brass hooks on a bulbous bronze base with figural tripodal legs on paw feet, H.- 69 1/2 in., Dia.- 19 1/2 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age and use. An approximately 1 inch shallow chip is observed to the edge of the onyx stand, near the top. An apparent varnish to onyx is now cracking, and chipped off in some areas. Top rack lists slightly to one side. A graceful example.
