Description

Nest of Three Tortoise Shell Stacking Boxes, 20th c., the bottom with a label for Charlotte Horstmann, Hong Kong, with key, H.- 4 in., W.- 6 1/4 in., D.- 5 1/4 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age and use. A few small scratches are observed to boxes throughout, and flea-sized spots of grey and brown discoloration are seen. Some edges are seen with a slight bubbling to tortoise. Flea-sized losses to tortoise are noted along some edges, most noticeably to side panel corners of the smallest box. A gorgeous trio.
