Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Jama Coaque culture, ca. 200 BCE - 200 CE. Hand built and mold-decorated terracotta whistle figurine with four sound holes. Measures 2 1/2" tall.
Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Bahia culture, ca. 300 BCE - 500 CE. A lovely "Venus" figure decorated headband/headdress and pectoral, standing in characteristically erect pose with arms at sides and palms facing outward. Measures 4 1/2" tall.
Provenance: Ex-Adeon Gallery, Chicago, IL, acquired prior to 1970
