Walter Reinsch (1897-1981, Jamestown, NY). Rare Walking Lion. Plaster over wire and wood; painted reddish-brown with a grey-black mane; open mouth with teeth and beads for eyes on wooden base. 17” x 21” x 5.5”. Some minor loss, otherwise great condition. This piece was featured in the one-man exhibition of paintings and sculpture by "Walter Reinsch" at the Cleveland State University Art Gallery, Sept-Oct, 1980. Provenance: In the private collection of Gene and Linda Kangas, OH since the mid 1970’s. Est. $400-600. Ship: $85
