Stanley William Hayter CBE, British 1901-1988- ''Poèmes d'Amour by Paul Eluard''; with translations by Brian Coffey, publ by 107 Workshop, Shaw, Wiltshire, 1984, printed by 107 Workshop, Wiltshire, bound in limp paper, with a dust-jacket in crushed-finish green paper and contained within a green linen covered presentation box, the complete suite including nine etchings and engravings, on handmade paper by J Green Crisbrook, entitled ''La voile respire'', ''Je fis un feu'', ''Gertrude Hoffman Girls'', ''Filles de rien'', ''Bâttisseur des ruines'', ''Blason des arbres'', ''Deux yeux'', ''Comprenne qui voudra'' and ''Matines'', ea. signed, numbered 29/100 and dated 84 in pencil, 32.3x22.5cm (sheet), and three lithographs printed in colours, entitled ''Spring'', ''Sojourn'' and ''Sundown'', ea. signed, numbered 29/100 and dated 84 in pencil, 45x32.2cm, (centre folded), (book) (may be subject to Droit de Suite)
Condition
the green linen presentation box is embossed with 'Paul Eluard' on the exterior and 'poemes d'amour/love poems' on the interior in blue printed script the dust jacket is embossed with 'Paul Eluard' in green printed script the top and lower edges of the dust sheet are very faintly creased but this does not appear to affect its overall appearance the book is printed on BFK Rives 210 gsm paper, the three lithographs are printed on BFK Rives 250 gsm paper the lithographs have been folded in half and bear associated creasing marks no visible defects or damages the book itself measures 33.5x23.4x3.5cm overall in very good original condition
