Frank Lloyd Wright 1947 Signed Check

FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT, Famous American Architect.
(1947), Printed Document Signed, "Frank Lloyd Wright," as President of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, 3.5" x 8.25," Extremely Fine. Signed as President of the foundation bearing his name, this check, payable to Curtis Basinger, is drawn on the foundation's account at the Farmers State Bank of Spring Green, Wisconsin. The check was paid by the bank on November 24, 1947 but the check itself is not dated. Legally a check is not valid without a date, but because this was a small town bank, they cashed it anyway. Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) was a native of southern Wisconsin, and though he lived elsewhere during much of his career, he spent his last years at his famous home, Taliesin, near Spring Green, WI.
