Overall the ring is structurally sound and does not sustain significant damage. The left edge of the bust line sustains a chip (approximately 1/8"). The tip of the nose sustains a chip (approximately 1/16"). One of the pearls along the frame of the ring is a replacement (7:00 position), as evidenced by the adhesive residue and irregularity in size compared to the five others. It is our opinion that this piece was previously a brooch or pendant, as evidenced by the solder marks along the reverse where the frame meets the ring frame.
