Description
A necklace comprised of Egyptian faience and stone beads along with a scarab and an amulet. The primarily blue and yellow faience beads, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, are nicely strung with carnelian beads, probably from an earlier period, and with a blue faience pendant in the form of a hand. This hand amulet is Graeco-Roman, c. 1st Century BC/AD. Also included is a faience Eye of Horus amulet, (1.6 x 1.3 cm) and a blue faience scarab, (1.3 x 1 cm), both of these from the Late Period. Necklace length: 39 2/5 in (100cm). Ex Dorset, England private collection.
