Provenance: Charles Ward Collection
This impressive specimen exhibits various colors of the five fluorescent minerals: tugtupite, chalkovite, sodalite, analcime and polylithionite. Currently, Tugtupite can only be found in three confirmed locations in the entire world, with the most productive area being Greenland. Not all of the minerals in this piece are visible under the same ultraviolet wavelength. However under various circumstances, one can detect the pink tugtupite, the blue sodalite, and the blue-violet polylithionite. This piece also boasts rare phosphorescent and tenebrescent qualities, adding to its great appeal. This truly exceptional piece would make the perfect addition to any mineral collector’s repertoire. The specimen measures 3 7/8 x 4 ¾ x 5 7/8 in. (height x length x depth).
