From Arizona’s renowned Petrified Forest National park area, this petrified wood slab tabletop dates back to over an astounding 200 million years ago when present-day Arizona was south of the equator as a small part of Pangea. This piece is an ancient conifer and is related to the current day Norfolk Island Pine. This high quality, ‘rainbow’ wood example exhibits shades of blue, blue-gray, indigo, black, white and vivid red-orange. One can also see the original tree’s growth rings rippling throughout, lending the piece a fascinating visual element. The exposed interior has been highly polished, while the fossilized bark edge has been left natural. As a table, the piece measures 18 1/8 x 39 ¼ x 31 in. (height x width x depth).
