Capturing the lively talents of the incomparable Rita Hayworth, Ned Scott depicts the Hollywood starlet in her blockbuster film “Cover Girl” (1944). Showcasing her dancing talents opposite Gene Kelly, Hayworth plays a chorus girl given the chance at stardom in this Technicolor musical. Speaking of the film, Hayworth said “I guess the only jewels of my life were the pictures I made with Fred Astaire…and “Cover Girl,” too.” (The New York Times, “Rita Hayworth: Don’t Put the Blame on Me, Boys”, 1970).

This lot is accompanied by the original 8 x 10 in. studio negative and certificate of authenticity from Movie Star News. With the Movie Star News sticker verso, this double weighted gelatin silver print is inscribed in the negative and measures 11 x 14 inches. Excellent, original condition.
