Best known for being one of Andy Warhol’s superstars, Edie Sedgwick became known as “Girl of the Year” in 1965. French fashion photographer Jean Jacques Bugat has captured the socialite’s beauty and vivacious energy in this image, taken during a photo shoot on rue Princesse with Warhol.
Executed in 1966, this gelatin silver print is mounted on aluminum. Signed in ink and titled and dated in a label affixed to the reverse, the sheet measures 27 ¼ x 19 ½ inches. In overall good condition.
