Wood and paint. Sino-Tibetan, Qing, 18th to 19th cent.
Tall form on four legs, very deep, the pivoting doors painted with separate colourful scenes. The encompassing frame is embellished with flowers and vines. The smooth surface of the doors shows figural scenes, the depicted characters often gesturing „fearlessness“, another person, a hermit, in the mountains and surrounded by plump peaches (long life symbol). The fourth depiction is with two boys, presumably the lucky boys hehe. Buildings, mountains, vegetation with fruits, a large bird. SIZE 80 x 42 x 42 CM (HWD)
