Item Details

Description

A handsome silver cane with overlaid gold initials. The silver knob handle is 2" high and 1 1/3" across the top. Three large gold owner's initials done in fancy script are overlaid on the top. The base of the scroll-decorated handle is marked "Sterling". The dark shaft is heavy coromandel that terminates with a 1" replaced brass ferrule. The overall length is 36 1/4" and the condition is very good. It is American, ca 1885, and it is superb example of a high quality cane designed for evening wear. Estimate: $500-$700.
