A wonderful silver chick-in-egg cane. The petite sterling handle is 2" high and 1 1/2" at is widest. It depicts a chick emerging from an egg that is sitting on a plinth. The chick has tiny faceted garnet or ruby eyes and the plinth is inscribed with owner initials. Near the base, there are London hallmarks for 1909. The shaft is slender ebonized hardwood that finishes with a 7/8" horn ferrule. The overall length is 35 3/4" and the general condition is good with several minor dents in the silver. It is part of the George & Carol Milne Collection. Estimate: $500-$700.
