Gregory graduated from Newcomb College, New Orleans in 1925, studied at Parsons School of Fine and Applied Arts in Paris. She studied stone sculpturing with Antoine Bourdelle in Paris and her work was exhibited in 1928. Returning to New Orleans, she was commissioned to produce a number of sculptures including the Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville monument and eventually was a professor and sculptor-in-residence for two decades at St. Mary’s Dominican College.
