Description
Late 19th/Early 20th century. Collection of two majolica asparagus motif dishes comprising of a oblong oval shaped plate with asparagus sprigs glazed in shades of blue, green, and purple; and a curved basket or cradle stand in the form of asparagus spears lying side by side with cream, light green and blue glazing, nine holes in body for release of heat, overall raised on four feet. Both unmarked. Oval serving dish or platter measures approximately 14" x 10.5". Curved dish approximate height, 3.7", width 9.25", depth 6.5".
