Description
After Charles Hullmandel (English, 1789-1850). A set of six chromolithographs depicting native British trees comprising of "Plane Trees", "Beech", "Thorn Willow Beech and Birch", "Black Poplar", "Yew", "Pollard Willow", each scene set with animals or figures and sometimes architecture. Inscribed below each image with title and "Printed from C. Hullmandel's Patent". Framed approximately 21.25" x 26", sight size approximately 12" x 17.5".
Condition
Items not examined out of frame. Colors rich and vibrant without signs of fading. Each in varying condition. Some with light foxing in upper register. Some with a few small pinholes in corners outside of image. Some with minor dirt and grime from handling. One with worn upper left corner with weathered texture likely from earlier adhesive. No other visibly distracting damage, losses or repairs to works.
