English, first half of 20th century (circa 1934). 23 piece Royal Doulton Art Deco porcelain coffee set in "Tango" pattern in dark navy blue, red and white with parcel gilt accents and borders throughout. Coffee or tea set comprising of a lidded teapot, cream and sugar, six teacups with matching saucers, six dessert plates and a serving platter with rounded handles. All pieces marked on bottom with green Royal Doulton mark with lion atop crown above "TANGO", some with additional inscribed marks. Approximate diameter of dessert plates 7.125". Diameter of saucer approximately 5.6". Approximate teapot height 6.6", width (spout to handle) 8", diameter of foot 3.25".
