This rare Mercedes in SL edition was first delivered to Japan in 2001. Extremely well-preserved and -maintained, it has made only 96,206 kilometers. Next inspection is due in 2017. The car has an additional hardtop. Recently breaks, axle bearing and engine mounting underwent thorough service. Additionally, it had an oil service with new filters, new valve cover seals and two new tires.

Mercedes-Benz SL / R129

The Mercedes-Benz, type series R129, was the successor of the legendary R 107 (well-known through the U.S. series 'Dallas') and was built between 1989 and 2001. In comparison with its predecessor model it was largely revised technically. High emphasis was put on safety and for the first time an automatic roll bar was built in. In case of a rollover, it is activated within 0.3 seconds in order to protect passengers. Only 708 units of the SL edition were built, of which ca. 300 of the 320SL.
