Signed by the author at the frontispiece, and additionally inscribed by him on the front free endpaper: "It is good to look at objects from strange lands that we may see in them the beauty which is common to our everyday surroundings. Edwin L. Howard."

Condition

Rubbed and bumped at edges, bits of cloth rubbed away to expose several small spots on fore edge of front board; light foxing to endpapers; else contents are fine; very good overall.
