DESCRIPTION: Two reverse painted silhouettes on glass of racing horses marked "Aintree 1839", unsigned, English, in veneered ogee frames with gilt liners. May be depicting Lottery, the first winner of the Grand National in 1839. MEASUREMENTS: One 12-7/8" by 10-5/8" in 7/8" frame, one 13" by 12-1/8" in 1-1/8" frame. CONDITION: Paint lifting, but images are intact. Minor losses and wear to frames.
