2 19th C Chinese Carved Shells on Stands

DESCRIPTION: Two carved mother-of-pearl shells with scenes of Chinese daily life in bas-relief, each with rosewood stand in form of flowering branches. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Bern Sharfman, Harrisburg, PA. MEASUREMENTS: Each 8" by 7-1/4". Stands 6-7/8" by 5-5/8". CONDITION: One stand with tiny chip to flower, the other with one branch with crack. One shell with possible repair to back.
