DESCRIPTION: Circa 1880's pietra dura and brass letter postal scale, rectangular pietra dura base with inlaid floral motif, brass scale mechanism, signed on the beam "S. Mordan & Co. London", with three brass weights marked "8/P", "2/P", and "1/P". MEASUREMENTS: 3-1/2" by 7-1/8" by 4-1/2". CONDITION: Five minor chips to base edge, verdigris at hardware.
