1932 Philadelphia Royal Giants Tour Team Baseball Signed by Six Including Hall of Famer Biz Mackey
This extraordinarily clean Maruzen brand Minor League baseball bears the names of thirteen players from the Philadelphia Royal Giants Team, who led by recently inducted Hall of Famers Biz Mackey and Andy Cooper, crossed the ocean to perform against Japanese competition on their 1932 tour in the Land of The Rising Sun. Neatly and darkly rendered on the ball's near-white surface are a combination of actual signatures in addition to one panel of neatly printed player name identifications written in the same hand. Those deemed to be signatures are: Delgado, Baker, Martin, Ross, Mackey (HOF), and Goodwin (manager). Other names identified on one panel are; Cooper (HOF), Perez, Chicho, Bland, Carr, Evans and Harding. A player position appears after every name and the team name "Philadelphia Royal Giants has been written under the arc of the seam of the panel signed by Mackey. Many of these player's signatures are exceptionally rare, with many having never before been seen on a baseball. Signatures average 9/10, ball is near mint. A unique combination of condition and immeasurable rarity. LOAs from PSA/DNA and JSA. ImagesClick on thumbnails to see larger images:
