High Grade 1947 Coca Cola "Sports Hangers" Complete Set of 10 w/ Cobb, Jones and More
This very scarce Coca Cola ten-player "Sports Hangers" set is offered in complete form and in extraordinary condition. In 1947, Coca Cola issued these very colorful and attractive cardboard advertising displays featuring the great sports stars of the day as mail in premiums. Each 15" by 13" Coca Cola "Hanger" features a rich color image along with a descriptive paragraph of the star featured and the trademark Coca Cola label and bottle. The players in the set are: Ty Cobb, Bobby Jones, Red Grange, Gene Tunney, Don Budge, Helene Madison, Willie Hoppe, Ned Day, Colonial Lady M (hunting dog) and Man O War. Each of the ten displays is in near mint condition minimally with their original hanging strings intact. The lot also comes with the original mailer.
