Clyde Drexler 1987 Portland Trail Blazers Home Uniform
Drexler played college ball at the University of Houston where, alongside Hakeem Olajuwon and Larry Micheaux, they constituted the "Phi Slama Jama" basketball fraternity renowned for its acrobatic, "above the rim" style of play. After helping to lead the Cougars to consecutive Final Four appearances in 1982 and 1983, Drexler was selected 14th overall in the 1983 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers. He helped lead that team to the NBA Finals in 1990 and 1992, with the help of teammates Terry Porter, Jerome Kersey, Buck Williams and Clifford Robinson. In 1992 he was selected to the U.S. Olympic "Dream Team", which won the gold medal in Barcelona and later that year finished second to Michael Jordan in voting for the NBA Most Valuable Player award. One of only four numbers retired by the University of Houston men's basketball team, Drexler's #22 has also been retired by the Rockets and Trail Blazers. Confirming his status among the elite players in basketball history, Clyde "The Glide" was named as one of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1996 and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on September 10, 2004. Drexler's 1987 Portland Trail Blazers "Sand-Knit" home mesh uniform features proper tagging throughout including the year tag "87" and "4"LB" on the front tail. All the letters and numbers are made of red tackle twill on a black tackle twill backing. Included with the jersey are matching "Sand-Knit" (size "34") trunks with the his number "22" written in black marker on the waistband interior. LOAs from MEARS (A10) and Grey Flannel.
