Sam Jones mid 1960's Boston Celtics Shooting Shirt
Lauded as one of the top 50 players in hardwood history, Jones tallied 2,909 career points in the postseason alone. This autographed Celtics warm-up top was donned by the 6-foot-4 guard as the team took to the floor for triumph after countless triumph during the mid-1960s. This green dureen pullover garment boasts "CELTICS" arched across the chest in white tackle twill and the Hall of Famer's since-retired number "24" sewn to the left sleeve in like fash­ion. Arched on the upper back in white characters "SAM JONES" serves as a complete identifier so as to differentiate between he and teammate K.C. Jones during their tenure as teammates between the 1958/59 and 1966/67 seasons. The interior features a "Wilson" size "46" manufacturer's label. Green-and-white striped stretch ribbed nylon/cotton comprises the waistline and short sleeve endings. Situated just below the revered team name, Jones' black marker signature and inscription of ""HOF 83"" appears (10). An integral element of the Boston Celtics dynasty, North Carolina-born Sam Jones was present for the entirety of the team's eight successive NBA titles — plus two additional championships. Solid wear is evident on this shooting shirt with no repairs or alterations. Accompanying is an LOA signed by Jones, as well as an LOA from MEARS (A10).
