1890's Allen & Ginter "The World's Racers" Advertising Poster
The prolific tobacco manufacturer Allen & Ginter advertises its card series of "The World's Racers" on this 16" by 28" poster. Sparing no expense with regard to the design and production quality of their advertising displays, the offered lithographic poster pictures cards from the series set against a deep red background trimmed by a gold border. A central image of a horse's head is ringed by a gold horseshoe. The poster is framed with visible condition flaws being scattered creasing, a few small border tears, and 1/4" hole on the horseshoe. Original and unrestored, in VG condition.
