This is a Rare Pre Colombian Figural “Smoking Man” Artifact Excavated in Mexico. This specimen was unearthed in Mexico in the 1950’s and is part of a collection being sold in this auction. These pieces were given to an American Dignitary by a Mexican General who was in charge of the excavation. This piece measures approximately 9.5” x 4” x 3.5”. One leg was originally found separated from the body and was re-attached after being excavated, otherwise the figure is in wonderful condition with expected wear and coloring due to age. We have had a professor of Archaeology review this piece and he felt it was authentic and not a modern day copy.
