Description
A rare Egyptianizing faience cylinder seal, Levantine, c. 9th - 7th Century BC, depicting Horus wearing a tall plumed headdress holding a bow, another figure wearing a long kilt also holds a bow; the figures are separated by pairs of erect serpents. L: 1.8 cm. Rare example of Egyptian influence on Near Eastern seals. Ex Orange County private collection.
