Description
A pair of late 19th century gold ear pendants. Each of square outline, the rose-cut diamond, within a rope-twist geometric surround, to the bead detail. Length 2.2cms. Weight 4.2gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear. The hook fittings for pierced ears are a later addition, adapted from a larger item of jewellery. Length include hook fitting. Width of earrings 1.5cms each. Excess solder, predominantly to the back of the earrings. There is a small hole behind the top of one hook, with significant discolouration. Estimated total diamond weight less than 0.01ct. The diamonds have surface abrasion.
