A selection of three early 20th century Albert chains

Item Details

Description

Three early 20th century Albert chains and a retractable pencil. To include a silver curb-link half Albert chain, suspending a silver onyx and carnelian swivel fob, two further silver Albert chains, a full and half, one suspending a compass, together with a retractable pencil. Albert, compass and fob with hallmarks or marks indicating silver. Lengths of chains 28 to 44cms Total weight 112.7gms.

Condition

Overall condition fair to poor. Significant tarnishing to all half Albert chains, scratches, some links are significantly worn in places. There are some replacement links which do not match. The tongue function to some of the lobster clasps are loose. Scratches and wear to the swivel fob, significant discolouration. Dirt and discolouration to the compass. The retractable pencil is tarnished, there are scratches to the glass terminal. Please see important notices for purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones.
