A late 19th century coral snake brooch. Designed as a stepped coral snake, comprising thirty carved sections, intertwined with a scrolling branch, to the textured surface. Coral untested. French marks to pin. Length 5cms. Weight 14.6gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear and discolouration in keeping with age and general wear. Small dent to the branch at the side. Very small area of soft solder to another. Coral untested for natural colour origin. Pinkish-orange with moderate colour saturation, fairly well matched, a few with slightly uneven colour distribution.
