Martin Rettig, Rookwood Artist (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1869-1956) 9" x 12" oil on board of landscape with stream. Signed lower right "M. Rettig". Martin Rettig studied with Frank Duveneck at the Cincinnati Art Academy. He was a charter member and first president of the Connate Art Club. In 1883, he joined the staff of Rookwood Pottery. Listed in Davenports, Fieldings, Who's Who, etc. Fine condition. EST. $600. - $1200.
