Francis Stillwell Dixon (New York, New York, 1879-1967) 8" x 10" oil on wood panel of a coastal scene. Signed lower right "Francis Dixon". Dixon was born in New York City, where he spent his entire career, except during 1915-17 when he lived in Los Angeles. He studied with Robert Henri and Charles Hawthorne. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club and the Allied Artists of America. He is listed in Davenports, Fieldings, Hughes, Mallett, Moore, etc. Fine condition. EST. $500. - $1000.
