Thomas Corwin Lindsay (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1845-1907) 19" x 33" oil on canvas of a landscape with mill scene. Signed lower right "T.C. Lindsay". Thomas Corwin Lindsay, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, was a well known painter of landscapes, animal subjects, and occasional portraits. He was a founding member of the Cincinnati Art Club. He exhibited at the Cincinnati Industrial Exposition from 1870-83, Pogue's in 1875, and the Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois in 1896. His works are in the collection of the Cincinnati Art Museum. Listed in Samuels, Who's Who, Davenports, etc. A great work and a wonderful scene by a fine Cincinnati artist. Fine condition. EST. $4000. - $7000.
