Hispano-Philippine Cardinal Figure
19th century, Negros, carved with serene facial expression, holding a staff in one hand, the other holding an unknown object, covered in traces of gesso and yellow, blue, and white enamel, raised over a waisted base with traces of crimson enamel.18 1/2"H. crack to head and hat, lacking hands, crack to knot on verso, hairline cracks to base, small loss to edge of cape, losses to painted surface.
