Private Collection, Weston, Florida This is a 2 piece set. The first piece, which is the larger of the two is in a free form shape in a sort of 90 degree "L" shape figure. The colors are vivid greens with perfectly accompaning blue stripes throughout. The second piece, neatly fits into the first and larger piece. It is of a bulbous shape with a long twisted neck and finishes up with a wide lipped opening. The colors are matching the larger piece, but have more colors of yellows, purples, pinks, blues. and green. This is a fantastic piece with bright vibrant unbelieveable colors. Dale Chihuly (b.1941, Tacoma, Washington) is credited with breathing life into the now-flourishing world of blown glass. He studied at the University of Wisconsin with Harvey Littleton, and at the Venini Glass Factory in Venice, Italy (the first American to be granted such access). In 1971, he co-founded the Pilchuck Glass Center in Stanwood, Washington, which is now the creative center of the continually expanding art-glass universe. His works are in collections of more than 100 museums, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery.
