Unusual Camel and Rider, Chinese
the Chinese figural group circa 1920 in the form of a snarling camel outfitted with a saddle carrying a rider and two smaller figures in side compartments, the camel brightly glazed in cobalt blue with white accents, the saddle in green and yellow, the main figure with black hair and unglazed face, and green robe, supported on a unglazed base. 24" h, 19 1/2 l, 8" w.
Condition: crack and repair to front legs, crack and repair to base near hind legs, some loss to glaze in damaged areas.
