Description

French, 18th century. Louis XIII style walnut wood framed armchair with tapestry upholstery on rectangular back and trapezoidal seat. Tapestry upholstery depicting a pleasant courting scene with young woman handled pitcher and man beside her in a garden setting rendered in grisaille muted tones. Tapestry upholstery accented with teal and beige trim and teal velvet fabric. Frame with standard form with scrolling and acanthus leaf decoration. Approximate height 46", width 25.5", depth 30", seat to floor 20".
