Three Porcelain Coffee Cans
Comprising;a Derby coffee can, circa 1790, painted in puce with scrolling foliage and gilt, the base with iron red Derby crown and crossed batons mark; another late 18thc/ early 19th c. English coffee can painted with a puce band and gilt foliate detail, the base unmarked; and an 18th Continental coffee can finely painted in polychrome enamels with a song bird on a landscape, the rim painted with a chevron band, the base painted with an underglaze blue circle bisected by six lines, incised with an N. Derby can 2 1/2"H. Continental Can 1 3/4"H.
Condition: Derby can: crazed, interior and base lightly to moderately stained, hairline crack to interior of cup base; Unmarked can; body with a hairline near handle, two hairlines on base, crazed handle; 18th Continental can with small (1/16") flake on rim, otherwise no damage or repair.
