A RARE RUSSIAN SILVER TROMPE L'OEIL CAKE BASKET "in the style of" PAVEL OVCHINNIKOV, the circular footed basket realistically detailed with repoussé and chased basket weave pattern centering a simulated fringed napkin with draped corners and border of engraved stylized strapwork surrounding an oak and laurel leaf wreath enclosing a view of Moscow's Kremlin, with a swing-bale handle.
