Hispano-Philippine Male Santo 20th century, Batanes, carved with one arm extended upward, the other holding his robe and a Bible, brightly painted in polychrome enamels, with tin wings. 12 1/2"H. Condition: lacking thumb, painted surface with light flaking and crazing. Provenance: The Mr. & Mrs. Lester Andelson Collection Exhibition: The Allen Memorial Art Museum, Oberlin College, February 9, 1981.
