The part ivory corpus well executed from a single piece of ivory and currently mounted to a silk covered panel, replaced arms and lower legs with nicely matched wooden carvings. 10 1/2" h, 9" w, panel 14 1/2"h, 10 1/2" w.
Condition: lacking thorny crown, lower legs and arms with wooden replacements. Provenance: The Mr. & Mrs. Lester Andelson Collection Exhibition: The Allen Memorial Art Museum, Oberlin College, February 9, 1981 Literature: Philippine Religious Imagery, Fernando Zobel de Ayala, 1963
