Fine Jointed Santos, 18th / 19th c.
the fine Hispano Philippine Santos with jointed arms and glass eyes carved in the form of an unidentified male saint, polychrome finish in iron red, cream, brown, and flesh tones, figure intended to be adorned in elaborate gown, carved on to a semi-circular base and raised on a later squared base with concave sides. Hardwood. 23" h. Condition: Minor losses to paint on face, restoration to jointed arms, bukbuk to arms, left hand with loss to four fingers, right hand lacking finger.
