Description
Tall, thin and elegant, original cove molding, original brass drawer knobs and hinges, blind door panels that are hand planed, 2 tall doors over 2 pie shaped dovetailed drawers, refinished some 50+ years ago, acquired from the Phillip Gregg family of Greene County, Tn. Without a doubt, Greene County, Tennessee as it was found in Warrensburg, Greene County, on the old Jones Family large farm that is still owned by Jones descendants, but this belonged to a tenant farmer from Greene County. The back boards are very wide, 20" and the cupboard easily dates to 1830-40 era. 7' 7" tall, 46" wide, 20 1/2" deep, yellow pine secondary wood, Cherry doors with Walnut frame to the cabinet, unusual position for the locks very low both on the upper and lower doors. The apron across the base is well shaped and shows no signs of replacement or repairs. The cupboard is in excellent condition and ready to be used anywhere today.
