A 19th Century Needlepoint Fan
The pear shaped form with beige silk on recto embroidered with fruiting vines and stylized flowers, the verso covered in persimmon colored silk, all raised over a tapered wood handle with a green finish.19"L, 8 1/4"W.
Condition: approximately 12 small losses to the front of the fan, two of the losses revealing the interior, the verso with ten small spots of pigment (ink?) and two small puncture holes to top of verso, handle with light wear.
